Jim Aspnes (asp@cs.cmu.edu) wrote it. He is still there, as a grad student,
I believe. It was written in August 89, and put up on Aug. 19, 1989.

>2) Who is presently doing the revisions/changes/etc to TinyMUD?

Currently, Nymph (Lisa Greenstein, email addr unsure) is doing revisions.
In the past, Random (Russ Smith, russ@valkyrie.ecn.uoknor.edu), Firefoot
(Scott Goehring, unsure of address), Fuzzy (Michael Mauldin, mlm@cs.cmu.edu),
and OliverJones (dmoore@ucsd I *think*) have worked on revisions. (There
may be others; I apologize if I've left anyone out.)

>3) Who wrote TinyMUSH?

Darnit, I just forgot. Argh. Sorry.

>4) Who wrote TinyMUCK?

TinyMUCK 1.0 (and a few following revisions) was written by Ghondahrl
(Steven White, sfwhite@watcgl.waterloo.edu). TinyMUCK 1.2 and TinyMUCK 2.0 and 2.1
were written mostly by Lachesis (lachesis@nyquist.bellcore.com, I believe),
with help from several folks, most notably chupchup (Robert Earl,
rearl@belch.berkeley.edu), who wrote most of 2.3. Quite a few people also
helped with various stages of TinyMUCK 2.*, which since I can't list all of
them I'm not even going to try.

>5) Who wrote TinyTalk?

TinyTalk was written by Tarrant (Anton Rang, rang@cs.wisc.edu, or some such.
I forget, sorry.)

>6) Who wrote LPMud?

Lars P. (Dammit. My memory escapes me, Much apologies here, I cannot spell his
last name. He posts occasionally.)

>7) Who wrote TinyFugue?

Explorer_Bob (Greg Hudson, ghudson@cie.uoregon.edu.)

>8) What resources are there for MUD players, both beginners and otherwise?
> Who maintains them?

I'm not quite sure what you mean by this.. If you mean ftp archives of sources,
clients, and documentation, there are several sites, most notably
belch.berkeley.edu (128.32.152.202), and lancelot.avalon.cs.cmu.edu
(128.2.242.79). valkyrie.ecn.uoknor.edu (129.15.22.6) has a small collection
of gif pictures of mudders.

>9) Who put up the first MUD after Classic?

The first official TinyMUD opened after Classic (and probably unofficial as
well) was TinyHELL, at uokmax.ecn.uoknor.edu 6250. It was run by Random (see
above) and myself, then known as Chrysalis. It opened in mid-October, 1989.

lachesis (that email address is no longer good) wrote tinymuck 1.2 -
2.0.2 and turned it over to me before 2.1.1, which, along with 2.2,
me and a lot of others colloborated on. 2.3, ahem moira, isn't finished
yet. but so far i've done most of the work myself with some help from
sthiss who wrote up a fine skiplist package.
